Sneezing, also known as sternutation, is a natural reflex done by our body to clear any irritants from the nasal passages. It's a powerful process involving the brain's sneeze center. It usually makes us say "ah-choo!". But what triggers us to sneeze?
The most common causes are allergens. It is very likely to happen to every human being as there are over 170 different food allergies alone. Keep in mind that there are also drug allergies, insect sting allergies and many more. The most common allergens include foods, pollen, dust, medications and insect stings. There are also airborne irritants such as perfumes, deodorant, dust and respiratory infections like the common cold.
